SPOTLIGHT

DAAK

DAAK(founded by Royce Malcolm) is an unconventional and enigmatic almagamation of afro/euro underground beats and tones, influenced by dnb, reggae, breaks and beats, techno and hip hop.

DAAK Studios situated in the heart of East London has developed its own unique and unmistakable sound.

Fusing off-centre bitter-sweet melancholy with euphoric hark-back jungle ruffness, the DAAK Love EP provides a much welcomed antidote to any unintentionally acquired penchant for half-listened drum and bass on-the fly. Producer Royce Malcolm enlists a full a palette of sounds to create a swirling, rattling, constantly evolving enterprise, that ultimately delivers a refreshingly danceable and surprisingly joyous state of affairs. Melting Sci-fi sirens echo with glacial urgency whilst bleeding gently into nothing, stuttered dub breaks rasp suggestively against grainy vocal percussiveness, maddeningly riotous rhythms awash with brooding intent, all this still while urged on by unfalteringly focused but not overpowering bass.an obvious choice EP for those who understand and appreciate originality free from the burdens imagined or real that playing safe bring.

MISTYCAL

Mystical are a seriously talented, young, vibrant dance troupe, they amazed the crowd with their many qualities, and delivered a stunning performance with which won the G.A.M.A (Greenwich Artistic Music Association) Talent contest, which was fought out over four heats which took place at various venues in Greenwich, with two contestants going through from each heat and the final being  held a Greenwich town hall, it was a truly amazing display of local talent, Misty cal shone out, and where the clear winners, showing wonderful timing, with a consistency from heats to final, look out for these guys

CONTRAST

CONTRAST BY NATURE

the new sensation. coming your way!

"CONTRAST" consists of two girls, AMY & TAYO

Amy was born on 21-11-84 & Tayo 07-09-84 Both girls discovered that they had an interest in music from an early age as young as five Tayo went on to train in street dance and ballet at the Christina Ross dance school. At St Martins High School she went on to achieve 11 GCSE which was what she needed to get into the BSPA (Brit School of Performing Arts). Amy who was always involved in school shows knew exactly where her future lay, so she got a placement at the BSPA and has not looked back since. They met while attending the Brit school of music and used to jam with other students working their vocal cords soon together with three other students they formed a girl group, then three became two and so Amy & Tayo decided to go it alone. Tayo has been Gospel trained and Amy has been Classically trained, they decided to blend their styles, and "CONTRAST" (by nature) was born.

The girls have been very busy so far this year and the future is looking very bright for the girls, they are currently performing throughout london and the south east on a Showcase tour, their recent performances venues include RHYTHM FACTORY,  BURGESS PARK, PLAN B, and CARGO's to name a few, the girls are also being filmed at various stages of their tour, footage taken will be used (in the video for their forthcoming debut single due for release this summer), in a documentary  being filmed "About the Girls"
